Cycle Sense
Lived Experience | Peer Support
Focused on health, hormonal awareness and Support groups for women seeking a deeper understanding of themselves across all stages of their hormonal life.
Facilitated by Antanika Hoberg & Friends · Altered Integration
Our Hormonal shifts and experiences are not symptoms to be managed.
They are experiences that affect everything across the lifespan.
Our body, nervous system, emotions, identity, relationships, energy, cognition, sense of self. All of it moves with the cycle. Most women are never taught this. They are told to push through, or that what they are experiencing isn't real, or that the solution is a pill and a referral and come back in three months.
Cycle Sense support groups and sessions exist for the gap between what women are told and what they actually live. It brings together psycho-education, lived experience, community discussion and practical resources in a structured, informed environment. Not therapy, and not pretending to be.

A small, ongoing closed group for women who want consistency, depth and real continuity with the same participants over time. This group builds closer community.
I have found knowing one another makes the conversation more honest and creates different dynamics.Places are limited and by expression of interest. The first cohort will form from women who want to be part of something sustained rather than a single or casual drop-in.
These will have more structure and have regular activities, resources and self educational components.
When: TBC - I will try work around participants who show interest.

About your facilitator
Antanika Hoberg
Founder, Altered Integration
"I spent years trying to be ready for this. At some point I realised I was just waiting for permission that was never going to come from anywhere but me."
For years, women have been reaching out to me with questions. About their cycles, their hormones, their nervous systems, their experiences with PMDD, altered states, perimenopause, HRT, burnout, identity. Many of them were reluctant to take me time without paying for it and if that time was given, burnout ensued.
There has been no structure to point them to that held all of it in one place.
Cycle Sense is that structure, That I have finally built over many years.
I have lived experience with PMDD, ADHD, early ovarian failure, trauma recovery and HRT. She has years of community facilitation behind her, including founding one of Australia's longest-running women's psychedelic support communities, and has specialised training in altered states, psychedelic integration and trauma-informed support.
I began connecting the relationship between hormonal cycles, emotional states, nervous system patterns and trauma through my own experience of living it and suffering quietly, and when I could no longer be quiet I was met with GPs who wouldn’d hear me. I have experienced many things, not like many practitioners who treat or try suppport from the outside looking in.
Cycle Sense also carries the memory of a close friend of mine. A woman who spent years battling cycle and hormonal dysregulation, fighting to be believed by the medical system, and finally, finally had an appointment with a hormonal specialist booked. She passed two days before it.
This group exists, in part, because that should not have been the end of her story, and so here I am.

These boundaries are stated clearly because they are what keep the space functional and fair for everyone in it.
A therapy or mental health treatment service
A crisis intervention space
A space for unstructured trauma disclosure
A substitute for professional healthcare
A platform for promoting businesses or personal brands
A source of medical or psychological advice
The intention is a structured, balanced environment where women can learn, discuss and participate without pressure to overshare, perform or carry one another. If you need crisis support, Lifeline is available 24/7 on 13 11 14.
I can also provide alternatives for those who need recommended therapists.
